Most of us have a Flintflinstones%20blogstone’s mentality. You get up, feed the family, head to work, take a lunch, go back to work and then punch out. How can we make this more unique for us rather than living the Fred Flintstone life? Is there a way to do it without the everyday routine? We want to prevent burnout and knowing how hard running a business can be will easily bring on that feeling of just wanting to give up (sometimes).

How can you nurture yourself to then nurture your business to help you thrive. Let’s go over some ideas.

  • Eat a good breakfast, yes it’s cliche but if you switch it up then maybe you can start your morning a little differently.
  • Take breaks at different times.
  • Offer your employees the option to throw a pitch-in, this will give you a chance to hang out with them and for them to hang out with you.
  • Have weekly meetings to let your employees vent and share ideas as well as share yours. This can be a breathe of fresh air for everyone and give you a chance to express yourself which in return will help you feel more productive during your day.
  • Take time for yourself. I know this sounds dangerous but if you have all of your (HR) ducks in a row, then you have a good team and will be able to trust them with what your doing at work.
  • Have all of your paperwork, files and everything organized. You will feel more stress free if you know where all of your important papers are at and it will keep you more placed.
  • Eat some candy, that always makes me feel better.
  • Listen to music at work.
  • When your done with your day be DONE with your day.
  • Have themed days at work.

So, here are a couple ways to get you out of your Flintstone routine. Share with me what you do and how you make your workday unique and how you keep from burning out. And let’s get out of the stone-age.
